I truly enjoyed my stay here. The staff were exceptionally kind. Allen and Joel were extremely welcoming and helpful. The view from the pool and my room were breathtaking. No words can explain how beautiful it is to roll over and watch the sunrise from my bed. I made it a point to try the breakfast and that cinnamon bread just melts in your mouth. I look forward to returning. I will be staying here again. Thanks for welcoming me to your beautiful hotel and city. See you all when I return!

I'm a older frequent visitor at the Sandbar Hostel and it's so nice to arrive and have the restaurant staff, housekeepers, receptionist, maintenance and management remembering who you are and greeting you by name. Feels like I'm a VIP. The newly renovated building is fantastic. My favorite amenity is the complimentary breakfast which truth be told is as good as a any paid breakfast have had on the island. There is no reason why anyone visiting the Sandbar shouldnt have a positive experience at a budget price.

The location is perfect—right on the beach and within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and everything you need in town. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with recommendations and activities. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the atmosphere throughout the property was relaxed and inviting. One of my favorite features was the rooftop pool and bar, which offered beautiful views and was the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring the island. My private room with a balcony was comfortable and clean. Loved the continental breakfast which included papaya and watermelon, coffee, pastries and cereal. The bar was a great place to hang for a drink in the evenings. I connected with various travelers, booked a snorkeling trip to Hol Chan and shark alley and did a sunset catamaran cruise. I will likely return to Belize and stay at Sandbar.

The hostel itself was great! Modern, clean, comfortable and even the shared dorms had some resemblance of privacy. The staff were all absolutely amazing and great to talk to as well, they made me feel right at home. Some of the features that stood out were the restaurant onsite and the roof top pool, both of which were excellent. I would recommend this place to literally everyone and I will definitely be staying here again next time I vacation back to Belize!
