"We've stayed in several paradors and this one was our favorite. The historic building is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable (we got a junior suite with a gorgeous view of the river) and the staff are warm, courteous and helpful. The location is excellent and the town itself is charming. Not only that, but you can hop on a little ferry boat and seven minutes later you're in France! We highly recommend this hotel and hope you enjoy it like we did."
"In an excellent position for seeing St. Jean de Luz and opposite train station so ideal for non car travellers. Hotel clean, staff lovely. Good breakfast in basement breakfast room. Compact bedrooms with good shower."
"Loved our room with excellent a/c….beautiful quiet deck over a courtyard…fabulous location and charming neighbors. Coffee machine in lobby was wonderful."
"Great place and clean room and bathroom. Nothing to complain about. A lovely restaurant a two minute walk away named bar augustin.
Easy to get to old town as well. 10 minute bus ride which you can just tap and go or you can walk about 15-20 mins to walk odd all the food you’ve eaten ☺️"
"Excellent stay overall. Small boutique hotel in town, friendly and helpful staff, especially Julien at the reception. Excellent location walking distance to beach and restaurants, stores, and bakeries. Definitely would return."
"We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights in September 2026 and thoroughly enjoyed!
This is a lovely hotel well located near the beach and just a short walking distance to the old town.
We had a premier room and it was very comfortable.
Highly recommended!"

The hotel setting is one of a kind. It's a very old fortress that was converted to a beautiful 4 stars hotel. Everything was done to provide all the comfort you would expect from a luxurious hotel while maintaining the structure intact. It has great character and beautiful and tasteful decoration. The view from the windows is great as well. It is in a walking distance from all the attractions of this small town. The breakfast was superb as everything else in the hotel.
We were in San Sebastián for the evening, and found this hotel at the last minute, 15 minutes away from the center of town... John (Juan?) at the front desk was most courteous and professional. Our room was perfect and the design was amazing! Loved the windows in the ceiling that opened to the sky...wifi, breakfast, secure parking...all at a reasonable price. I highly recommend this hotel
It was wonderful, our room was very nice and the buffet breakfasts excellent. The staff very attentive and accommodating, quite helpful in finding a restaurant.
A modern, clean and stylish gem of a hotel nestled in the an absolutely charming old town of San Sebastian. The staff was wonderfully attentive and graciously assisted me in English (probably to save us both struggling through my not-so-great Spanish). Plentiful and consistently amazing restaurant options abound and the area offers breathtaking views of architecture, beaches, and a nearby hike up the hilltop fort for all your nature-bathing needs (there's a bar up there that shouldn't be...
We were impressed with the quality and comfort of this hotel, close to the motorway for a one night stay during an extended trip in France. The hotel was clean and the room was spacious and comfortable with modern features. The breakfast was fresh and delicious with plenty of selections. I think the croissant was one of the best I had during the month of our vacation! Also I was very pleased to see staff members cleaning and disinfecting tables between each guest. I appreciate the dedication to...
The hotel has a great location. It is an easy 5 min walk to the beach and 5 min walk to all restaurants and shops. The staff is super professional and friendly. The rooms are beautiful and super comfortable and the hotel has an amazing view from the pool terrace of La Concha beach.
Excelente ubicación, al frente de la estación de trenes, corta distancia a pie de las atracciones, playa, restaurantes. Habitaciones y baño cómodos y amplios.
Small, quant hotel in the perfect location in San Sebastian. In Old Town close to both beaches. Also close to the transportation center which made getting in and out of town very convenient. It's a really small hotel. There is a small reception area with coffee but that's about it, there is no lobby like you'd find in a more traditional hotel. The staff is happy to help with whatever you need, they were great!
Very good hotel, nice location, friendly staff and the room we had was very big. There were a few strange aesthetics about the rooms but overall it was a fun stay.
We enjoyed our room with it’s balcony. The room was large for a European hotel. The location was perfect for seeing everything. Parking was easy once we realized it was behind the hotel.
Amazing pool. Great location on cliff top, easy walk into town for access to restaurants, etc. yet quiet. Wonderful value for the quality of the property. We had a 2 person studio which came with a well equipped kitchen. We booked initially for 5 nights and liked it so much we extended an additional night. Also very well placed for trips in the area. We hiked to Hendaye (about 4 hrs) and took the train back, day out in Biarritz (we preferred St Jean) , spent the day in the beach, hiked in...
