We were very pleased with the beautiful building, well appointed rooms, lovely, breakfast and attentive, kind staff. What a pleasure for our family group of 6. I would only recommend they use newer towels (our were thick but very frayed), and have 2 pods of caf coffee in the room. Did not seem to have beer or wine available at the porch restaurant, though they showcased a wine bottle display. That would have been very nice. Would definitely stay again!

I make regular visits to Guanajuato, and Hotel de la Paz has become my "go-to" lodging. Unlike many 5-star reviews, this one represents not the pinnacle of luxury, but rather an optimal combination of ambiance, location and price. The location cannot be be improved. It faces the beautiful Plaza de La Paz, and three rooms feature balconies overlooking that beautiful urban space. The iconic Union Square is a three minute walk, a distance that serves to mute any noise from late-night revelries....

This modern hotel is situated less than 10 minutes drive from Bajío airport and about 20 minutes from Guanajuato historic center. The hotel looks like brand new, rooms and amenities are excellent, very nice pool too. Breakfast and evening snacks were good and included with our hotel stay. Hotel can request a very good transportation to Guanajuato historic center or Guanajuato central bus station for about $20 dollars. The room we had was big with kitchen, living room with 50" tv and king size bed with 50" tv. Air conditioner. The restaurant food was great and the room service was great! The staff at the check in could be little more professional. I drop off my laundry (front desk) Wednesday afternoon didn't get it back until Thursday night at 10pm. They didn't tell me why it took so long. I think they forgot about the laundry and one of the staff saw it the next day on the floor and sent it out to get it...
