"One of the most impressive entrances I’ve seen and a very pleasant check in. Pool area very good, with a shaded area. Pool bar great for food and drinks with cracking staff. My single room was good, a few maintenance issues compared to the rest of the hotel. About a 20 minute walk down a steepish hill and a typically busy road, with shops and eateries, to the lake. Highly recommended. "

"Hotel was comfortable, safe, and they had onsite driver accommodations (apparently a thing in Sri Lanka). We didn't get to stay here long enough, and there was a festival that made the streets incredibly crowded. I wish we had the chance to explore the area more, however we made our way down (per the hotel's recommendation) to dinner at Hideout Lounge, and then back to the hotel. "Dumbara Park Residence is a wonderful hotel for daily travel in Kandy. It’s very convenient and located right in the centre of the city. The rooms are clean, and the staff are extremely kind and helpful. The rooftop restaurant is amazing. It’s also just a 10‑minute drive to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Dalada Maligawa). My next visit Kandy again, I will definitely choose Dumbara Park Residence. "

"Great location right in the middle of Kandy city by city center and lots of shops and restaurants. Staff very helpful and friendly, even upgraded my room and immediately sent someone when there was a minor leak in the AC to fix promptly. Amazing buffet breakfast, clean sheets and tidy room"

"Good place to stay in Kandy. Walking distance to most attractions. Unfortunately hotel has NO lifts and being 4 stories may prove difficult for some. Wide stairs and port service does overcome this but could be better. This should be highlighted in advertising. Breakfast buffet excellent, with evening meals available. Great view over Kandy spoilt a little by substandard building close next door. Hotel unlicensed for alcohol but I understand this is being addressed."
