    Riccione's historical villas

Discover architecture from the Belle Époque

Riccione is a seaside resort established during the Belle Époque period, between the late 19th and early 20th centuries. As a result, several buildings feature Art Noveau and Liberty architectural styles.

Visit Grand Hotel Des Bains and observe its decorations, which consist of acanthus leaves, floral patterns and curved lines. Villa Antolini was designed in the 1920s by Vucetich, an architect who greatly influenced the Futurism movement. The austere appearance of Gran Hotel is moderated by spirals, spheres and truncated pyramids, inspired by Coppedè. Another must-see is Albergo Stazione, a red-brick building featuring decorative rosettes, capitals and cornices in classical styles.
