Excellent pod, very clean, all towels/ bedding provided. Tea, coffee station and fresh milk in the fridge. Underfloor heating keeps the pod cosy. Little dining table and chairs to chill on. Aswell as chairs outside but still sheltered to take it all in. Hairdryer, cutlery and plates and pans to make breakfast in the morning. Shower powerful enough and warm. Parking space provided and staff friendly and helpful. Only issue we had was the bed, that bed/ mattress was extremely hard, did not manage to sleep through without waking up several times with back ache. Actually slept on top on duvet the 2nd night with our own blanket on top to soften the bed on our backs. Would definitely consider coming back as the pods we’re lovely and in a fantastic area just wish we had better nights sleeps

A lovely place to stay

The hostel is nestled into the charming village of Callander with a spectacular view of Ben Ledi. The hostel is immaculate and cozy. There is a full kitchen with a lot of care and intention put into recycling and composting. There is an ample and comfortable dining area with foosball table, books and some games. Our room was clean and comfortable with a small table, refrigerator and two bathrooms. We really enjoyed our stay in Callander.

It's like a4 Star hotel and better. Especially when you book a room for 4 adults. You will be given a room with a private bathroom. The hostel is located in one of top beautiful places in the world. I loved that this property (one of the oldest buildings in Callander) is run by a youth co-op helping locals. What a fantastic initiative. But what this means is that you don't have access to anyone during your stay. The email before arrival was easy - building and room access info. Our only suggestions are PLEASE fix the extraction system in the kitchen. The entire downstairs stinks. Please provide paper towel in the kitchen and please add parking info (around the back) to arrival info. Otherwise, we found this hostel to be small and cosy, beds comfortable and hot shower. Everything we needed.
