I stayed in a private room, which was very nice and spacious. The bed was very comfortable, and having my own bathroom was a big plus. The water pressure in the shower was quite weak, but on the positive side, this was one of the few hostels I stayed in that had warm water.
Nights in Monteverde can get quite cold, so I asked for an extra blanket for the second night, which was provided without any issue. The hostel is in an excellent location, making it easy to get around. Breakfast at the restaurant next door (with a 10% discount for guests of OutBox Inn) was also very good and definitely worth it.
The only downside for me was the atmosphere. I had expected a slightly more social vibe, but it felt like most people preferred to keep to themselves. Of course, that’s not necessarily a bad thing, but I was hoping for a bit more interaction with other travelers.
