This building is old for a hotel. It was built in 1972, so it's now 50 years old. You can tell by looking at the place, she has some miles on her. You can't really tell by looking from afar, but once you get up close, you'll know. The inside and outside of this place needs repair. It has a musty smell inside.
Our room had ants 🐜 inside, everywhere! We did not find them until the next morning. They were all over our bed and all over the floor. The place needs pest control.
The reason why this place did not get a bad overall review is because even though this inn is a bit old and shabby, it makes up for it in other ways. The staff was really nice and helpful. The gentleman I met while checking out had such a wonderful personality. You could tell that he was a sociable team member who really enjoyed his job. He knew the history about the place. He also listened and seemed to care about the guests staying there.
Most importantly, this place had the best internet connection I have ever had, at any hotel I've ever stayed at! I was always logged on, even if my tablet stayed idle for a while. You don't get that at most places. Our room had a decent size refrigerator which kept our picnic food cold, and we didn't need our cooler. The TV worked and we were able to get weather report updates. I was really pleased at the amenities there.
It's a cheaper motel room, so you get what you pay for. Even though the place itself has issues, there are also advantages.
