8/10 Muy bueno

We came to Springfield with family to watch our grandson’s sporting events. They booked this hotel to accommodate 3 kids. Since we were riding with them, we had to book here as well. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. It was nice. The reason we didn’t rate this excellent is because my husband has a prosthetic leg and the bathroom was very difficult for him to use. The bathroom is very small. It’s barely big enough to turn around in. The door opens in and just barely clears the toilet and is just a few inches from the tub. He could not get his walker in the door to shut it. He could not shower because there was no bench to sit on and no grab bars. I had called to ask about handicapped accessibility and they told me they had ground level seats, but as far as the handicap bathroom amenities, whoever I talked to seemed unsure of what to say and told me they didn’t have any, but to ask when we checked in. When we checked in, I asked and the lady said we don’t have any. The answer was unclear to me whether they didn’t have any at all, or if there just weren’t any available. We just felt it was important for anyone with accessibility issues to know about the issues we had so they can be prepared. Our son shared they didn’t have enough hot water to shower the 5 of them in their suite. Otherwise it was a nice room.
