I personally never write reviews, but I can't help it for this one.
Upon attempting to check in, we were not greeted. Instead we walked into the lobby to hear about someone being stuck in the elevator, and the manager being focused on that. We were eventually checked in mid-conversation over speaker phone with the attendant talking to an elevator technician. Not sure what came of that, but we took the stairs just in case.
The hotel is dated, no big deal, most are. The room was clean except for the mirror by the entry door. The bathroom door had to be forcefully shut. The A/C got colder the more we turned up the temperature. The plunger for the sink plug was broken, so the sink took a long time to drain. The first morning the front door to the hotel barely would open a few inches, we had to turn sideways to get through. When we returned that night and tried to open the door, we were yelled at by the manager, in regular clothing, trying to say we broke the door. I would be fine with all of this if it were a cheap hotel, but I paid the same price as the numerous ones around.
