This place is very remote and isolated from City of Mazatlán. This hotel is outdated and decor is of the early 2000's or 90's. If the stay is in the condo suites, all 3 restaurants are far and hotel transportation is not quick (average 15 to 30 minutes). This hotel premises practically shuts down at 9:30pm and the swimming pool closes at 8:00pm. Curfew on vacation is not good nor cost-worthy for the tourists or rentees. The ocean is very dangerous due to many riptides about every 75 to 100 meters apart and the jellyfish that washes up on shore. The ocean view is great, ocean breeze feels great, and the strong wave sounds are relaxing if you like to hear that. The key to enjoy this place is knowing what is here and what is not here, have a rental vehicle (or your own car), and take your own groceries (litte store shop is very limited, pricey, & when it runs out of supplies it takes days after your trip to get there). If you love the outdoors and lots of walking, this is your place to visit. This is not your typical "hotel" experience. You can love it, hate it, or be neautral regarding the limited commodities offered here at "Luxury Suites by Estrella del Mar". *Important Note: Read the other comments to get a better idea of what people have felt or experienced from this place.*
