Quiet place with restaurants near by

We had a quiet relaxing weekend away. The hotel needs to be updated but it was clean and had a decent breakfast. Our blackout shade was torn when we arrived but not too bad as to wake us too early.

Was very disappointed at how old this hotel was. We were put in a handicap room and told there were now others available. When reported that the frig was not working and floor was dirty, somehow they found us another room

The property has several areas that are under construction, but even if there was not construction nearby, there’s a lot of trash laying around the back area that belongs to this property

Third floor was under construction. We were unlucky and got one floor 2, directly under construction. The room had a musky smell, probably due to the construction. Other than that, hotel was okay!

The bed bottom was old and tape to hold the bottom up. Surrounding area was abandoned parking lot, really not sure what that area was intended to be or what it was. Very unattractive

The room air-conditioner did not work properly. The temperature would not go below 71 degrees. The King bed sheet was to small for the bed so we had to use the comforter which was too heavy for the temperature, we were hot and cold all night long. Not a good night rest. I reported the problem to the day clerk she wrote is down, AC problem.

Looks as if hotel being remodeled; exercise equipment placed in lobby area, room was middle of being remodeled and was bad workmanship. Example, handrail at toilet not attached to wall correctly.

Poor

The pillows were awful . The bathroom had hair on the shower walls along with some nasty stuff that looked like poop. The bottom of the tub was gritty. The ac sounded like it was gonna quit at any time and the refrigerator was not cold. There must not be any insulation bc we heard our neighbors talking and getting ready and every time their door closed it was really loud in our room!

unbearable

Arrived at approx. 1:10AM hoping to get a few hours of sleep before having to leave by 7:30am. Walked into the room it was blaring heat and 92 degrees...were they trying to kill bed bugs? The AC wouldn't work, there was no way to cool the room, the front desk had a computer issue and couldn't check me in to begin with (maybe this room was blocked in their system?) Turned off the heat the room remained incredibly uncomfortable until I left in the AM, the room was still 77 degrees. I brought my concerns to the attention to the front desk and was told they would follow up wtih me....over 24 hours have passed no follow up

My go-to travel hotel is Hampton Inn. You can usually be assured of a somewhat modern and clean room and facility as well as the great value of a large selection of breakfast options in the morning. Unfortunately, this property is the absolute lowest quality Hampton Inn I've ever experienced. If it didn't say "Hampton Inn" on the door, I would have thought I'd walked into a Super 8 or Motel 6. This property is not up to the standards of the Hampton Inn name and is a negative mark against the brand. The property and our room smelled a bit musty. There had been a half-hearted attempt at a remodel at some point, but very poorly done. Our bathtub had been painted over and was peeling. The carpet provided little confidence of cleanliness so we walked around with our shoes on, even when walking to the shower. Bedding was itchy and just not comfortable. The staff we did talk to were nice people, polite and courteous, so no points off for the staff, but the franchise owner of this property should not be allowed to use the Hampton Inn name and brand. Very disappointing.

Under major construction!!

We originally booked this hotel for 2 nights but when we arrived around 4pm it was under major construction. So much so we couldnt access the elevator through the lobby. We were asked to go outside around the side of the building to get to the elevators. I'm not kidding, see the pictures of the outside entrance. We were given a chance to cancel our stay but we had been travelling all day and I wasnt sure we could get another room so I felt we really didnt have a choice for that day. I immediately searched for another room for the second night, thankfully I was able to find one at the Comfort Suites. I have tried to get any type of reimbursement for the 1st night but the management said since we were offered to cancel at check in any type of reimbursement wouldn't be possible. This is absolutely ridiculous that we paid extra money for this hotel only to find it in this condition. Pool was closed due to the construction. Breakfast was standing room only due to construction. Construction workers everywhere making us feel uncomfortable about trying to get around their work area. Ice machine wasnt even working that day. And we can't even get anyone to consider any type of reimbursement is mind boggling. Dont take my word for it, look at the pictures. We stayed at Comfort Suites the second night for half the price and twice the comfort. We see you now Hampton Inn!!
Right next to elevator. Notice other customer going around work area. I hurt my should lifting my bag over this guy and his tile stack
Side entrance
Our walk to the side entrance.
Lobby- Holes in the ceiling and construction dust everywhere.
