This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had, mainly because of the extremely poor customer service at the front desk.
While the hotel itself and its amenities were acceptable, the attitude and professionalism of the front desk staff were extremely disappointing. My room was not cleaned and ready on time, which was already inconvenient. However, what made the situation much worse was the way the front desk staff handled it.
Instead of apologizing for the delay or making any effort to assist, the staff member was dismissive and extremely rude. I was simply told that I would “have to wait” because there was nothing she could do. There was no apology, no empathy, and no attempt to provide a solution or even acknowledge the inconvenience caused by the hotel’s delay.
Delays can happen, and I completely understand that hotels can sometimes be very busy. However, there is a professional and respectful way to communicate with guests when problems arise. What I found unacceptable was not simply that the room was late, but the dismissive and disrespectful attitude I received when I raised the issue.
Good hospitality is about more than providing a room and basic amenities—it is also about how guests are treated. Unfortunately, the customer service I experienced at the front desk fell far below what I would expect from any professionally managed hotel.
