On our first night, there appeared to be an improvised party in the lobby and just outside the hotel, where cars pull up for checking in/picking up guests. It was rowdy to say the least. That same night, someone urinated inside both elevators and nobody cleaned this in the next two days we stayed at the property. We never felt safe, and cleanliness was simply horrible. On top of that, on the second night we tried to do self-laundry but only one washer and one dryer were available and we had to wait over an hour (and took over an hour to do two loads, as the washer that did work was not washing properly). The hotel is next to a busy freeway so you have to deal with that (which sometimes you expect) but noise control is awful overall: you hear steps from the room above and the TV on the room next door. Finally, housekeeping never cleaned our room, despite us requesting this multiple times. I used to like the Hampton value for money equation but between this stay and a slightly less bad experience in the Cypress Hampton, i will not be staying at that brand again.
