My stay at the Kendall actually started out sort of rough. I got in from a late flight and meandered around the property to find my room. It was already 10pm so I was ready to sleep. Unfortunately, the folks on the other side of the wall to my lovely room had other ideas. They carried on until 3am easily. It sounded like an ongoing domestic dispute with bouts of yelling on the hour. I tried knocking on the wall and asking them to settle down, to no avail. I considered calling 911, but I honestly couldn’t give specific directions to my room, so I decided to wait … turns out I should’ve just called. Nonetheless, I let the very friendly staff know what had happened as I made my way out in the morning for my appointments. I wish I could remember her name. She promptly changed my room. Then, she along with the other very friendly staff member handled refunding my money (I used hotels.com which is a third party, so it took at bit of work to get it refunded properly.) After that, all went smoothly. The hotel is clean and has tons of charm. I felt the price was very reasonable for such a lovely place. I felt that the staff genuinely cared about my experience.
