I stayed at Days Inn Ottawa Downtown yesterday and overall, it was a mixed experience.
The room itself was fairly clean and the bed was comfortable, which made for a decent night’s sleep. The blackout curtains were a nice touch, and the hotel was relatively quiet, so noise wasn’t an issue.
However, there were several inconveniences that took away from the stay. The jetted tub was disappointing, with only some of the jets working. The ice machine was out of order, and the vending machine wouldn’t accept debit or credit cards, which was frustrating. On top of that, having to pay an extra $10 for parking felt unnecessary considering we were already paying for the room.
Another downside was the overall smell in parts of the hotel, which wasn’t very pleasant.
In short, while the basics like comfort and quiet were there, the maintenance issues and extra costs made the stay less enjoyable than expected.
