I don't even know where to start with this place. It's comically bad. The woman who checked us in was friendly but that was about where any remotely good experience stopped. The "restaurant" that is in front of the hotel and associated with it - wow. Half-eaten plates of food on every single table, flies, unnecessarily dirty, especially when there's staff sitting around, chatting, doing absolutely nothing. Locals in there talking loudly with the staff about religious things. Card reader didn't work, so got a free meal, but it was so awkward and uncomfortable it was not worth it. Blood stains on our sheets, called the front desk and dude was completely unhelpful. We had to go pick up new sheets, wait for the dude to finish smoking outside first, and then they weren't even the right size. Luckily we had been camping and just brought our own bedding in. Tried to stop at the gas station real quick next door on our way out, attendant came out and yelled at us saying we were blocking the sidewalk (from who, I do not know) so we just left. If you want to feel like a welcome visitor while traveling, Morrill, NE is not the place. I can't say we were upset, as we laughed at the absurdity of the whole situation, but definitely wished we would have splurged for a hotel in Scotts Bluff instead.
