Great part of the city to stay in - fairly quiet residential neighborhood but a ton of restaurants and shops and not a bad walk to downtown. The guesthouse was tidy and pleasant.

We really loved the communal side of meeting people traveling as we were as well as how convenient it was to Washington Park (tons to do and see there!) and food and coffee. The owners were very responsive too.

First time staying in Portland and this is a great option! Good location close to lots of fun places. The guesthouse was clean and quiet. Had access to a shared fridge, toaster and microwave. Will make a point to stay here again next time I find myself in the area.

Homey, big, old house with wonderful beds, quiet rooms, and a super responsive staff. Very near great local stores, tea and coffee shops, and restaurants, and within walking distance of the Japanese gardens.

Absolutely lovely stay. Tim greeted us at check-in; he was kind and happy to help! I loved that they had recycle and compost bins in the kitchen. Our stay was easy breezy, and I can't wait to come back!

The host Tim was very friendly and very informative. He responded very quickly to any questions. Comfortable beds. House was immaculate and charming. Breakfast was veru basic but included in the cost. Parking is difficult like any large city.

Great place to stay! I went by myself and felt it a safe and area to walk around, go out for eating and explore. The rooms are very comfortable. You do not see the hosts, but they are very available to communicate by email or phone. I had a chance to meet him in person and he is sooo kind, gave me good suggestions for eating and see around there. It is definetely a place that I will go back when I go to Portland!

Unique space in convenient area. A hot plate would make the kitchen more usable.

6/10 Good

This is a hostel. Not an inn.

Breakfast is not included. I put this first cause you don’t even get a cup of coffee. This is more of a glorified hostel attached to a pretty house. It is not an “Inn.” The breakfast was literally Cheerios and corn flakes. The room was hot but there was a portable A/C so plus. Old furnishings and tough bed. Bathroom was great. Location was great. Parking was easy. One bummer — the kitchen is on the top floor and when I went into it, sat a shirtless older senior gentleman eating. It was not something I wanted to deal with after a long day. But he was shirtless because the kitchen was also hot. I checked out early because I couldn’t sleep. I want to support local small businesses so I stayed here. I have stayed in many inns. This just wasn’t one. It’s a hostel.

8/10 Very good

Very difficult parking if you are bringing a car. We often had to walk 4 blocks to the hotel. It's run like a hotel so it is a bit run down and you will share a restroom. Nice hosts and a great location.
