Unprofessional and greedy - avoid if you expect basic service
I booked four rooms at Scandic Glostrup for my team during an event at Musikteatret. Due to a change in our schedule, I politely asked the hotel if it was possible to cancel two of the rooms with a refund. They refused, saying the rooms were “non-refundable.”
I know very well that hotels can make exceptions when they choose to, especially for returning guests. But here, there was no willingness to help at all.
When I arrived at the hotel, the receptionist even asked if I hadn’t already cancelled the rooms - which clearly shows how poorly they communicate internally. I explained that I never confirmed any cancellation since they refused to refund anything. I was even told that “it costs them money to cancel” because the booking was made via Hotels.com - a weak excuse, considering they could easily have refunded the remaining amount after their own fee.
No reply, no flexibility, no sense of customer care. Just silence and the full charge kept.
I organize events across Scandinavia several times a year and have stayed at many hotels. This one stands out for all the wrong reasons. We will not be returning.
