I had a disappointing Dining Experience here, I booked two rooms with breakfasts for all guests including my 5 year old daughter.
During our breakfast, a staff abruptly approached our table, without any prior explanation, she asked the child's age and height, then immediately walked away. The entire interaction made us feel extremely disrespected, as if we had done something wrong. We already checked in breakfast zone and started the meal, so we do not know what happened?
A few minutes later, the staff returned and informed us that our child's height or age did not meet the hotel's "child" criteria, demanding that we pay an additional fee. We expressed understanding of the hotel's policy and our willingness to pay the extra charge. However, as we did not have cash with us at the time, we requested that the amount be charged to our room and settled upon checkout, let us finish the breakfast first. She refused, insisting that we must complete the payment now. Ultimately, we had no choice but to discontinue the breakfast and retrieve our mobile phone from room and make the payment immediately.
Finally, the hotel refund us the extra charge for my daughter after I argued that my reservation receipt mentioned clearly the breakfast for me and my daughter are included. This is reasonable at least.
The service details and staff training is not as good as we expected.
