Unfortunately, unlike most of the other reviews, our experience was quite the opposite. For this price, we expected much better hospitality and customer service.
We had an overnight flight and arrived completely exhausted. We had emailed the day before to ask about an early check-in but never received a response. When we arrived, there was barely any shade in Imerovigli, it was extremely hot, while still wearing our warmer travel clothes. Of course, we understood that the room still needed cleaning, but when my boyfriend (who was also celebrating his birthday) simply asked if he could quickly change into lighter clothes because of the heat, the owner refused. The next morning, while we were enjoying breakfast and the jacuzzi, the owner unnecessarily reminded us about the 11 AM check-out, almost as if we were children. As soon as we left, he immediately entered the accommodation to inspect everything. Another downside was that the terrace wasn't completely private, as people could easily look up and see us.
Overall, the hospitality felt forced and controlling rather than genuine and welcoming. We never truly felt like valued guests. The view may be beautiful, but real luxury is also about how you treat your guests, and unfortunately, that was missing here. And to be completely honest, there are plenty of other places in that same spot where you can enjoy a similar stunning view.
