The front desk clerk was efficient at check-in. The hotel is older, and the management is making efforts to keep it clean and current. Did not partake of the included breakfast as we left early. The hotel was used as a sleeping spot on the east side of Amarillo. Only in the room between 8pm and 6am. We booked the room while driving to Amarillo and only 4 hours before check-in based on Hotels.com site and lower price and 7+ rating. There was road and utility construction in front of hotel making access questionable. Used the west side entrance that was narrow and hard to see even with a hotel sign "marking the spot".

Rooms and beds were covered in Bed Bugs and Black bugs. Immediately reported it but they had no other rooms to offer and we had to find another hotel. Disgusting - person on the reception wasn't bothered. They even charged us for the rooms for the 1st night even though they were uninhabitable. AVOID THIS HOTEL

The tank to the back of the toilet didn't fit properly. The toilet ran continuously. The toilet seat had hair on it. The ceiling was patched and the bathroom door was old and worn. The waffle mix tasted funny and it gave me diarrhea. One guest took his plate and got a second helping on a used plate.
