I'd give this place a solid "OK" for the most part. We stayed here in late June 2026, just for context. The property is definitely tired, but the front desk staff was nice, and they did a decent job running the place, but the room had some questionable remodeling done and more than one stray hair. The room was spacious, and has about the same look that every "mountain lodge" did when it was built, but it hasn't really been updated since the Reagan administration.
Parking was fine, we were just here for a night, and for that purpose it was fine. I wouldn't stay here for an extended period of time, but for a night stopover on a road trip, the price was fair-ish for SoCal, you can kinda see the lake from the parking lot, and the room was clean-ish. The window AC was semi-functional, but loud.
TL;DR - fine for a night, kinda run down, would probably look elsewhere for longer stays. Nice people though.
