My stay at the Decameron complex was overall disappointing, especially considering the price paid.
From the moment we arrived, the check-in process felt unnecessarily complicated and inefficient. It set the tone for what would become a somewhat frustrating experience. The rooms were extremely basic; for a family of three (a couple and a child), we were given three single beds, which was not ideal or comfortable.
Service was inconsistent. While staff were generally polite, they were not particularly warm or proactive when responding to requests. There were a few standout individuals—especially at the bar and some of the breakfast staff who prepared excellent eggs—but unfortunately, they were the exception rather than the rule.
One of the most frustrating aspects was the restaurant reservation system through the app. It was difficult to use, had very limited availability, and restrictive time slots, which made dining unnecessarily stressful. On top of that, the food quality did not meet expectations.
The location of the hotel is fantastic, and that is definitely a strong point. However, the overall condition of the property suggests it is in need of maintenance and updates.
In terms of value for money, I do not believe the experience justifies the cost. With improvements in service, food quality, and infrastructure, this could be a much better destination.
