Mr. & Mrs. G: Generally we were very pleased with our stay in the Crown Plaza(CP). We stayed 7 nights at the CP after spending 5 nights in the Tsubaki Tower hotel. We actually preferred CP to Tsubaki.
Pros of CP, the sea infront of the hotel was a big plus point for us, and the water was amazing for swimming/ snorkelling/ paddling, also with walks along the Tumon beach each day too. The CP staff were all very friendly, with the exception of the GF cafe staff. The accommodation was nice, with a great view of Tumon beach from the 11th floor. The Christmas dinner(on 25 Dec) was fabulous!
Cons of CP, the AC system seemed to malfunction at night time, despite setting the room AC controls at 16 degrees celsius, so much so that the room was uncomfortably hot at night time. The room cleaning was very late each day and was very superficial. The bed linen didnt smell clean and the foam mattess was uneven like a very old foam. The gym needs more weight lifting equipment.
A special mention of thanks to the GM Yuj Akima who was an inspirational leader amongst all the staff, being very hands on and always on duty. Also, Tom on the check in desk was extremely professional and very friendly towards us. Lastly, Ana and Marisol were very attentive to all our needs during breakfasts and at the Christmas dinner.
