I stayed at Radisson Blu Birmingham in Room 1410 from Tuesday to Thursday this week. I often choose Radisson hotels when travelling because they are usually a reliable and comfortable option worldwide, so I was quite disappointed with this stay.
The hotel feels quite dated compared to what I normally expect from the brand. The air conditioning unit in the room was very noisy, which made it difficult to sleep at night.
The bathroom also seemed outdated with a bathtub-style shower. The biggest issue, however, was the water temperature, which fluctuated randomly between hot and cold during the entire stay. The water pressure in the shower was also very low. On the morning of my departure there was no hot water at all, which meant starting the day with a cold shower.
Another inconvenience was the lack of power outlets next to the bed. The only option available was an older USB port, which is not very practical for charging modern devices overnight.
Considering the price level typically associated with a Radisson property, I believe guests should be able to expect a higher standard. Unfortunately, based on this experience I would struggle to recommend this hotel or stay here again if this reflects the current standard.
