We recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the staff were fantastic, friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. The room was clean, there was plenty of parking available, and the location was ideal for our weekend stay. The restaurant and breakfast options were also really impressive, with a great variety of food. Just make sure you get the breakfast early for the hottest food.
However, there were quite a few downsides that impacted our overall comfort. The rooms felt very outdated and in need of a refresh. When we arrived, there was a lot of building work in a room nearby, making it really difficult to relax after a long 5-hour drive. In fairness, the works stopped around 5 pm, but by that point, we had to head out anyway. At night, a light designed to light up the outside of the hotel was aimed directly at our window, which made sleeping tough, even with the blackout curtains. The room also got quite stuffy, and with no air conditioning to cool the room down, it made for an uncomfortable night's sleep. The road outside was also quite noisy until the early hours, so I would advise trying to get a room at the rear of the hotel. Finally, the shower was frustratingly inconsistent with temperature.
While the service and cleanliness were top-notch, the lack of comfort and peacefulness unfortunately made it hard for us to fully enjoy our stay, and we would not recommend this hotel.
