Charming place to stay

The Cornish inn is a charming place to stay. The rooms were so cozy and clean and attractive. I love the fact that they were all dressed up for Christmas. Lindsay's restaurant located in the same building was fantastic as well.

We stayed one night at the Cornish Inn. We were in room 19, The Captain’s Quarters. The room was huge and thoughtfully decorated with antique chairs and furniture in keeping with the old inn theme. The bed was comfortable and a mini fridge was provided. The room had tons of windows which let in a lot of natural light. We appreciated the pull down shades once night fell. We ate dinner at Lindsey’s downstairs and were so glad we did. The food was outstanding! We also appreciated the heads up to get a reservation right away when we checked in, as we probably would not have thought of it. We had a great experience at this inn and would definitely stay here again if we were ever in the area.

This is a great place to stay… the only negative that I have is that there is no television in the room… but we were busy doing things so it didn’t matter But if it was a rainy day and we wanted to hang in and relax… it would be nice to have a TV.

The only quibble I had was that there were too few electrical outlets in our, including none between the two double beds and no outlet whatsoever anywhere near one of the beds. It was inconvenient. But the place was otherwise a pleasure and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Terrible mattress. Bathroom needs updating and additional storage, shefs, etc. room air conditioner was noisy and directed right at the bed with no adjustments that had aby more positive effect.

The inn is absolutely beautiful!! I loved the room and how clean it was..& the person who checked me in was very friendly. The location however is not as rural as described.. it’s on a busy Main Street in town.. I took my husband out for our wedding anniversary.. we were out a bit late, returned to the inn to zero parking spots!!! I ended up parking close to a dumpster by smoking area beside the inn.. I was definitely irritated as “Free Parking” is listed as an amenity.. I guess you have to be back at a certain time if you want a spot for your car.. that alone definitely changed my overall experience here… not sure I’ll return…

We have stayed here twice this summer the people are absolutely wonderful. They are very helpful, pleasant and make you feel right at home. We did notice a problem with our bathroom while we had a downpour of rain there was a puddling of water coming from the wall around a window. The water from the rain was coming through the wall and dripping onto the floor. The curtain was wet. We asked the girl in the office if she was aware of the leaking wall. She was not. I’m sure they will take care of it. Other than that it was a great place to be.

The staff was very responsive when I complained about the late-night noise from the kitchen staff wafting up to our room; no complaints on the second night of our stay! 😊 The room had no coat hangers, but I was able to find some in the Housekeeping room. The bathroom sink could use some attention: cold faucet drips continually, and the drain plug doesn’t work. This is an historic building, so I understand the difficulty in regulating the heat via radiators, but our room was stiflingly hot; we kept the windows open to stay comfortable. One morning the coffee was not available at 6:30 as promised; breakfast staff and waitstaff in Lindsey’s Kitchen seemed to be late arriving on both mornings of our stay. But overall, a good experience. We will be back!! Thank you!
