I have stayed at this little hotel many times during my travels to the San Diego area, specifically in Encinitas. This unfortunately will be the last time I will stay at this place. We parked and as soon as we got out, we were asked by the manager what we wanted I told him that we were there because we had reservations. With a lot of attitude he asked me to come into the office and then asked me if we had received an email in regards to their check-in policy. Unfortunately, I never got an email because it came through here to my Hotels.com app. I didn’t know that they had emailed to state that they only had somebody until 6 PM and to call if I needed to make arrangements for later arrival we were not there later than six so we were in the slotted time. He then proceeded to show us throughout the hotel, which is something that we didn’t need because he has seen us multiple times over the years. This shows the level of customer service and lack of care for the people who stay at this hotel. I have interacted with the general manager many times sometimes twice a month or three times a month when I was visiting my girlfriend now my wife, the reason why we decided to stay at this hotel again was because I actually proposed to her while I was staying at this hotel four years ago now so it has a little bit of a nostalgic attachment to us. Just FYI, warning to travelers these are the worst beds you will ever sleep in the beds are as old as the hotel.
