The hotel did not meet my expectations based on the photos and reviews I had seen before my stay. The room was extremely noisy - sounds from the corridor and neighbouring rooms were clearly audible. The worst part, however, was the constant noise from the laundry room, where washing machines ran every evening and throughout the night. Even though the laundry room wasn’t directly adjacent to mine, the noise carried easily and completely ruined my sleep.
The room itself was fairly clean, but there were visible signs of previous water damage, including patches of mold on the wall. The bed was acceptable - slightly softer than a typical Japanese mattress, yet still much firmer than what one would expect in most Western hotels.
The staff were friendly and spoke basic English, and the breakfast was good, though it lacked variety from day to day.
Overall, the hotel feels in need of a thorough renovation. Had I seen realistic photos of my actual room - rather than the polished ones on the website - and known about the persistent noise from the laundry room, as well as from other guests, I would definitely have chosen a different place to stay.
