Good evening. I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent stay at the Wyndham hotel in Birmingham. I will begin by acknowledging the few positive aspects of the room, including the functional television, iron, microwave, bathroom lights, shower, and hot water. However, the negative aspects of my experience significantly outweighed the positives.
Regarding service, the elevator was out of order, and I was assigned a room on the third floor. The ice machine on the third floor was also non-functional, necessitating a trip to the second floor for ice. Furthermore, a fire alarm was triggered, and upon contacting the front desk, I was informed that a toaster had caught fire. While the maid service was adequate, the room itself had a musty and dusty odor.
To mitigate the unpleasant smell, we had to use air fresheners. I strongly advise against recommending this hotel to others. The elevator has reportedly been out of service for several weeks, despite claims that the issue is recent. Additionally, the exterior grounds were in need of maintenance. I regret booking this room, especially considering the limited availability of accommodations in the area due to the Kappa convention.
My recommendation is to either avoid thi
