Newly constructed rooms, clean, and well equipped. The town of Civitavecchia is nice and within walking distance. Very helpful staff that drove us to the nearby cruise port. A very pleasant experience.

Perfect location - helpful and friendly 24/7 available staff. Rooms are small by American standards, but perfectly acceptable by European standards. Neat and tidy. Amir went above and beyond - made arrangements for a large group to arrive in Civitavecchia comfortably.

Overall the stay was pleasant. Nice and safe neighborhood, neat rooms and Sandro a very kind person to deal with. Beach is to a walking distance with bars, restaurants and stores near too. I enjoyed the stay and will consider staying there if ever go back to Italy!

If you are used to a hotel with staff on property, an elevator & easy access to transportation, this is not the place for you. When we arrived, we comtacted Stella di Mare, and someone buzzes you in. Our pre-cruise suitcases were heavy so making it up tthe flight of stairs to our room was not easy. Nice basic, clean room & bathroom with busy traffic below but quiet if you close the window. Pretty views of the water across the street.

Great communication and exceptional service from the owners. Room was a nice size and very clean. A bonus that they also offer transportation from the airport. Location was not ideal for exploring around by foot. The only restaurant within easy walking distance was closed due to a special event.

Best place to stay before your cruise!

This is a wonderful place to stay. Very clean and neat and very comfortable bed. Also quiet. The hosts could not have been any better. Tita and Sandro went out of their way to accommodate us. They even drove us to a store and to dinner in the evening and then drove us to the cruise ship the next morning. All without any charge. We highly recommend the Stella de Mare and we will stay there again ourselves.

Don’t have high expectations…

This is not a hotel….It is purely a guest house. No service or facility amenities. 10-15 minute walk to anything, including the train station. Good for a night if you can’t get in to the hotel you wanted to be in, pre or post cruise. Other than that, stay in Rome.

Great location!! Public beach across the street. Has it own parking which is a plus! We reserved a king bed and got a queen and we were suppose to have a free bottle of wine but didn’t get it! The bed was TERRIBLE! It was one step too close to sleeping on the floor! Very flat pillows and only one per person. All of the furniture felt like it was for someone. VERY short. No place in the bathroom to place your personals, sink only but not a big sink. Had a cool drying rack in the bathroom to dry your clothes. Not really on the first floor! One and a half flight of stairs. Price was too much for what you got!

Cita was amazing, so was her husband Sandro. She went above and beyond and found a lost bag we left at train station. He drove us right to ship for free. No shuttle bus or schlepping bags ( we had many). Can’t say enough about their hospitality. true, you have a to walk a few blocks to get beyond the nearby Esterina restaurant. But their personal care and help is rare to find anywhere

No frills but clean

It is no frills place to stay. Just a room. No soap for the shower. Two towels. The tv did not work. No breakfast. If you don’t have a car do not pick this place.

This quaint hotel/rental was bright and clean. We knew there was no elevator, but it was a little hike with the luggage we had with us! Greeted warmly and given a quick overview of the room, facilities and security which I greatly appreciated. It was a bit of a walk to find something open on a Sunday afternoon as we couldn’t get a taxi or Uber at that time. The room was air conditioned, clean and spacious. The bed was very firm and the 2 pillows were very thin so we had a little trouble sleeping for the one night along with the train that rumbled just outside our room #5 - we were closest to it. But honestly we weren’t woken by it through the night. We were also given a ride to the cruise port this morning. Great value overall and lovely view and access to the water across the street. The sunset was absolutely breathtaking!

The owners of this b&b are terrible people. They left us stranded and refused to come get us. Our train was delayed & we called to let them know, everything seemed okay until all of a sudden it wasn’t! There were no taxis, & Every hotel was completely booked ! Of course it was raining & we walked looking for somewhere to stay… we ended up at the local Police station…. They reached out to her & she must of made up a story and argued with them … This place should be avoided st all costs !! We are so fortunate that a Police officer took us to her home at 1:30 AM ! She also drove us to the port the next morning, there are still some kind people out there ! We expect to get a FULL REFUND & compensation for this horrific experience!

It was a cute little boutique style hotel. No elevator made it difficult to haul our large suitcases for our cruise we were leaving on the next day, but we made it work. Room was quaint and had decent internet and ac worked well once turned on. There was a coffee maker in the little lobby room, but no coffee pods. Room was clean and bed was a little on the firm side, but comfortable enough for a night or two. Sheets and towels were clean. The property doesn't seem to have the rooftop balcony see in the photos with the beach view, but we were only there for one night. We arranged through the owner to pick us up at FCO Airport and drove us to the property and helped us with our luggage. Owner drove us to the port for our cruise. Nice comfortable Mercedes van. Doesn't speak much English but was able to help us out with a translation app no problems. The general area has a little beach in front of it across the street and a coffee shop about a 10 minute walk south of the hotel. The restaurants are further in town off of the Via Aurelia Sud north into the town about a 30 minute walk and is sort of a dangerous road with very few sidewalks and people racing by. Very good restaurants off of Viale Della Vittoria. We ate at Trattoria O'Pescatore and it was fresh and delicious and they were very attentive and accommodating. Overall a good experience, but transportation to and from Civitavecchia is very expense and would probably fly into Valencia, Spain to start my cruise from there.

EXCELLENT best decision ever to booked this guest house, Sandro was amazing with his hospitality and attentions to us, he gave us recommendations for restaurants, beach clubs and even made a reservation for us, we were also searching where to buy some red wine bottles and he hade them already at the hotel. It is a quiet location very easy to get from the train station, very clean! The shower was amazing big and clean with hot water, we rest very well before going on our honeymoon cruise to Greece! We are looking forward to return someday to Stella di mare
