Very good location with beautiful river view! All the staffs are friendly with smiles. Although there were always big groups of tourists but we’ve been treated well at breakfast and dinner though we were just 2 of us.
But the problem was the maintenance. After soaking in the bath just after 9 pm, I tried to have a shower but no hot water came out. No matter how long I waited, nothing happened, so I tried to ring reception—only to find that the telephone cable had come loose and I couldn’t get through. I had no choice but to put a jacket on over my pyjamas and walk down to reception to ask for maintenance.
The maintenance man arrived after about ten minutes but couldn’t fix it; after waiting a little longer, he told me to move to another room where the shower was working. It was 10 pm and we were just about to go to bed, so I told them we’d go to that room the next morning just to have a shower, and went to sleep that night.
Perhaps they’d managed to fix it, as the hot water was running the next morning and we were able to have a shower, but surely this shouldn’t happen at a hotel of this price range? Everything else was very good, so it was a real shame.
One more thing. You’d be better off not ordering the ‘tomato and mozzarella’ salad at the restaurant. They might not even know what mozzarella is. It was very expensive, but what they served was simply a ‘tomato and cheese’ salad, no mozzarella at all.
