We stayed in the Ludlow House, in Col Ludlow bedroom. The bed, linens, pillows were extremely comfortable. Had the best sleep every night. Spacious and very clean. Location is perfect. Easy walk to superb restaurants like West End Cafe and Moselleās. My only complaint was the TV service. Did not have any local or Broadcast channels to watch football or tennis. Could not get any live news channels except for many I would never watch. Not even CNN available. Otherwise, service was great!
Lovely accommodation, clean and comfy, very convenient to our itinerary. We were very disappointed that the breakfast option was so limited, unlike a previous stay there.
This place is amazing! Iāve never stayed at a bed-and-breakfast before, but I cannot wait to come back to this place! I rented the Reynolds Loft and it took my breath away. Itās a unique room, very spacious and I felt guilty for staying here by myself! I highly recommend you check it out as it makes for a great little solo getaway or a romantic trip for couples.
My wife and I spent a considerable amount of time looking for the ārightā place to stay for her to recover following a surgery at Wake Forest Hospital. We were unsure about a bed & breakfast but reviews were great and the photos looked nice.
Wow, what a great choice we made. The room - The Chesterfield King - was great. Charming, sizable and with a large shower, private porch and plenty of streaming options on the TV
The service was just as wonderful. Mary Evelyn couldnāt be kinder and more accommodating to our special needs and the property was very well kept.
Finally, while we did not have the opportunity to take much advantage of the propertyās amenities⦠they were there as needed - beautiful property to walk, billiard room for entertainment, morning breakfast and afternoon wine options. And on top of all of that, we were walking distance from some great restaurants and shops.
Thank you Summit Street Inns for making an out of town surgery recovery as homey as possible.
Amazing Inn! Great location for a couples getaway. Beautiful, clean, spacious room. Upscale renovation to a historic building. Lovely gardens. Restaurants within walking distance. Loved all the antiques, art and eclectic touches. Wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back.
Solo traveler here! Very beautiful property! I love the vintage decor and it's walking distance to all the food spots in downtown! Highly recommend when you are travel and need a quick place for work to stay!
We reserved and paid for a queen size bed and received a full size bed. This was very uncomfortable for my husband. The bedside lamp did not work and the condition container in the shower was empty.
We loved our time at Summit Street Inns, especially the 4-7 pm happy hour! The flowers around the property were gorgeous and we walked to dinner nightly.
Beautiful and comfortable historic house! Enjoyed staying in the Reynolds Loft -- that soak in the claw-foot tub made my evening! Gorgeous landscaping and lots of places to just hang out and enjoy beautiful spring weather. Some of the area's best restaurants are just a block away. We were able to walk up Fourth Street toward Trade and window shop the Arts District. Great breweries a mile away (still walkable) and Tate's Cocktails is a great place for a drink and live jazz on Tuesdays. We love Winston-Salem, and now we have a favorite place to stay for a quick getaway.
