Our stay was 8/9/24 to 8/11/24. At the time of our visit, there is a mass renovation going on, so the place was struggling to be fully clean & the pool was closed. The pool amenity is one of the reasons we wanted to stay here, so we were very disappointed. The staff was amazing, kind, smiling, helpful, and very vocal to excuse the mess so there is no fault to them: customer service was excellent. I booked through Hotels.com and there was NO NOTATION of renovation. If we were made aware, we would have made another choice. I would have appreciated a cut rate for the condition of the building and having to go to the (2nd floor) under-construction floor for the ice machine as it was abandon and very creepy. Again, the staff were excellent, so please don't fault the service staff for the - much needed - renovations underway. Shout out to TaQuay (front desk) and Karen (continental breakfast): your smiles and kindness were the best!
