Understanding that this property has only been open for a week or so, I can forgive some issues with my family’s stay at Home2, Jackson. However, these are the issues we had:
There was a significant issue with the expedia booking that seemed to cause problems for Home2, which took about 15 minutes to figure out at check-in. After that, we could not access the room for quite some time because it was still allocated, in the system, to another party who had already checked out. Once we were finally in the room, we noticed that all of the previous occupants dishes and drinks still in the room.
Additionally, the room smelled strongly of smoke from illegal substances and we found that the previous occupant had taped up the smoke detector to prevent the alarm going off. We were not offered an alternative room — probably because all rooms were booked.
We were promised a refund by the staff, and told it should show up on our card by yesterday, but have not received one yet.
