Our Villa was clean and comfortable. The staff provided excellent service. They were all genuinely kind and caring. The hotel food was delicious as well. We definitely recommend this hotel and the floating breakfast.

This was my first time staying in a villa which was great to have all in one and safe to know you can lock-up and have to pass reception to get in. No one off the street can just come in. Large villa plenty of room for 2 ppl eith your own pool. Friendly staff always there to help and loved the security guard, so nice and friendly. Would I book again 100%

We loved our stay at Seiryu, the Villa was gorgeous, the staff were lovely and accommodating. It could probably do with a lick of paint, and the the area isn’t really the centre of anything but it’s close to the beach and has everything you need! Loved the pool, outside area and how massive the bed and house were

My wife and I had a great experience in our beautiful villa. The rooms were clean and spacious, and we especially enjoyed the pool and outside area. The included breakfast was satisfying. Staff was always friendly and helpful. The location of this hotel is great, as it is walking distance to the main central streets of Seminyak aswell as the beach. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff were amazing and very helpful and accommodating. The villa was really well equipped with a self contained kitchen, jacuzzi, pool, shower, TVs and lounges inside and out. The location is not bad - short walk to the beach and main shopping strip but is on a backstreet. There are always plenty of taxis and people around though.

Not recommended… Very disappointed, the villa was dark there were no proper chairs to sit on, the lounge was floor level and no outside chairs. When we asked the staff they said that’s their decor. Very dark inside and dated, breakfast was cold. The place does not match the photos online. Will not stay here again.

Seiryu Villas is well located in central Seminyak and the private villa layout is visually appealing. The concept of a private pool and open-style bathroom creates a pleasant and attractive space, and the location makes it convenient to explore nearby shops and restaurants. However, our overall experience did not reflect what we would expect from a property positioning itself as five-star. While the villa design is attractive, the level of service and maintenance did not meet the standard we experienced at other properties during our Bali trip. We encountered maintenance issues that were not properly resolved, and communication regarding breakfast options was unclear. Additionally, the presentation and professionalism of staff did not align with what one would typically associate with a five-star establishment. It is also important to note that the property does not have an on-site restaurant, which may be relevant for guests expecting full-service hotel amenities. Some facilities or elements shown in promotional materials were not available during our stay, which led to a difference between expectation and reality. Seiryu Villas may suit travellers seeking privacy and a central Seminyak location, but those expecting comprehensive five-star service and facilities may wish to consider this carefully.

We had a couple of issues during our stay but overall had an okay experience there. 1. We arrived back to the villa after being out for the morning to find the front door completely unlocked after the cleaners had been. We had not secured our valuable items and we literally walked in off the street with no staff at reception. So anyone could have entered our room from the outside. 2. We arrived perfectly on time for check in at 2pm but were told the room wasn’t ready and to go for a walk for 30 mins. When we returned the room still was not ready and in total we weren’t able to check in until after 3pm. 3. There were no spare toilet paper rolls and we were given half a roll to start with so ended up running out. The villa is nice and spacious but definitely has some wear and tear.

great stay

All round great stay, all the staff were really friendly and was on hand with any queries we had. The villa set out is great with the swimming pool coming up right up to your bathroom door, Breakfast was always at what time we wanted it rather than a set time which was great. The hotel sorted us out a bike for us to explore seminyak and was a very reasonable price. Highly recommend, thanks for a great stay.

Loved the private pool, huge living room and kitchen. Staff were also lovely and friendly. Breakfast was good although having to pick a time the night before was a bit laborious, especially if your desired time wasn't available. The hotel doesn't have a bar or restaurant or spa, which would have been nice. Location is alright though as all these facilities are nearby.

Enjoyed our stay

The location is fantastic, just round the corner from the gay strip, near the beach, easy 25 min walk to Seminyak Square and 'Eat Street' or head the other way along the beachfront to Legian area (we like walking). Bintang Supermarket and Jari Menari even closer. Staff are lovely, very helpful and eager that you enjoy your stay. The villas are very large, and surprising as you walk down a dark corridor to one of only 8 villas, open the door and hey presto you're back outside in your deck and pool area. Inside the villa was a spacious living area, kitchen (not so well equipped), lounge (couch uncomfortable though), Large TV with cable channels, DVD player. No Music player. Kitchen did not have a microwave or coffee maker as is listed. Just bare minimum of plates glasses and a couple of pots, a few utensils, but no way you could cook anything serious if you were so inclined. We eat out every night so that's ok. Lacks a filtered water cooler which is disappointing, every other villa we have stayed in has had one, and with Bali's dodgy water supply is a must. Bed was King, comfortable and quiet. I'm not a fan of platform style beds though. Bathroom was ok but the toilet was stained around the hinges where the lid attached to the pan. A bit icky. Overall it's a good place to stay but it's in need of a refresh, at the very least a fresh coat of paint, and replace bathroom/toilet fittings.

We absolutely loved our stay at Seriyu Villas. The staff were amazing and really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The breakfast which is served in your dining area was excellent (I was so happy to see they have smoothie bowls options). The villa itself is gorgeous and modern, the decor is very zen and you can truly unwind there. We stayed in 4 different hotels when traveling in Bali and this was our favourite!

Landed in a bunker

Villa for me is a separate building with some kind of garden. This was a bunker, felt like we came to a prison. Black, fake leather cushion on an outdoor bed by the pool?! Felt like a porno star😡Stupid ‘couch’ on the floor, yes I do understand the japanese concept - but this was done cheaply. We had booked 3 nights and would not get our money back, but decided to leave anyway and went back to our previous hotel in Nusa Dua. Could never had stayed here, maybe we were to old for this strange concept...

Loved !!

Amazing stay!!! Stayed in Kuta with friends for a few nights then me and my partner stayed at the Seiryu Villas for our last 2 nights in Bali!! So relaxing and so much space. Was perfect for us! The service was always outstanding and the villa so beautiful and spacious. Definitely recommend staying here. Only negative I can think of was the lack of lighting inside. So many lights but none really bright enough to see much inside the villa and doing makeup and hair became difficult. Not much of a problem though really and that’s my only negative. Loved our stay here and will come back soon!!

The property was in a great location and the staff were extremely friendly. However we had to run the shower for 5 minutes before entering as the water had a funny smell. We were also moved to a different property much further away on our last night as they were conducting plumbing maintenance. We were only told about this upon arrival which disrupted our stay. We also had to pay for taxis out of our own pocket back into Seminyak as the accommodation was much further away.

Japanese inspired retreat

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very accommodating, and the property was only a short walk from shops and the beach. Was great to have them deliver breakfast each morning. The only negative was that sometimes the breakfast was a little cool and no microwave in the room to heat it up. We didn't let this detract from our stay. Everything else was great; ideal for couples who want an actual quiet holiday and time to relax away from the hustle and bustle, with your own private pool. WiFi was very fast and stable.
