This was the best stay we ever had in Italy. The hotel is very genuine in the heart of Toscana, everything is thought through into every detail. Soreno is the most beautiful little Italian village looking almost carved out of the mountain it stands on and not overloaded with tourists. Their own restaurant serves amazing food with only locally produced products. However the best part of the stay was the staff, everyone was incredibly nice and welcoming, gave local recommendations and told us about the thoughts behind the dinner menu, making our stay the best.

This was a bucket list item - stay in a castle!! it was a real treat, the room was very clean, bed comfortable, great shower. Easy and free parking was a bonus, and so easy to walk around Sorano. We really liked our stay at the Fortezza. It is not luxurious, but it more than makes up for it with bucketloads of character. It is a great place from which to survey Sorano from above and to descend into its charming labyrinths. The associated restaurant in town was also really good.
