Nice secluded resort

Amazing location, very comfortable room, nice beds. Nice options for breakfast at reasonable prices. Perfect getaway

The rooms were nice and the view was amazingly our room was a 2 min walk through the vineyard to the restaurant, such an amazing experience. The view was gorgeous and we’ll def be back.

It is a great place to come and relax, yet close to home. The restaurant offers a farm-to-table menu, a good selection of wine or drinks, and fabulous views of the Gorge.

Front Desk personnel needs some more training.

Cabin was beautiful, very high end furniture, although not very practical— no desk, no soft chairs, no small tables. Nowhere to plug in electronics although plenty of sockets, just nothing but the floor to rest gadgets on. Sofa was leather and super uncomfortable. But it all looked beautiful, just not practical. Views of the Gorge with the Columbia river below were to die for and made it worth it. Unfortunately the restaurant is terrible, service is really bad, food is almost un-eatable and there’s no other choice for dining options. For the shockingly high price of the lodging, you’d expect better. So it’s just the view you’re getting and what a stunning view it is.

Stayed here for one night for a concert and it was the most disgusting night I've ever spent at a hotel, let alone a "resort". While the welcome info did warn to be mindful of keeping doors open because critters and bugs, they are situated in a vineyard/orchard, we stayed in our room with the doors shut until the show. The bugs were bad before the show but when we got back it was like a swarm of them - seemed like they may be coming from the shower drain. We called the front desk after the show but were told there was nothing they could do and maintenance was gone. We kept the bathroom door shut and refused to shower at this disgusting place and left as early as we could the next morning. $1200 for one night in a fly-infested dump. Not even going to go into how thin the walls are in the cavern rooms.

The room was missing one curtain, one hinge one of the doors to the patie was broken, one chair arm on the patio was broken, one wall in the closet had holed in it and one bracket for the shelf was broken. Painting on wall was crooked, toilet paper holder was crooked even since painting as the paint behind was only matching when crooked. The string lights outside were disconnected. Seems like they dont maintain the property well. Also our parking area was wet muddy grass, almost every other unit was gravel, and robes would be a nice addition to the rooms. The location is pristine, the lodge had cookies that were free, the rooms would be amazing if they were maintained well but as someone in construction i noticed the neglect. Many people would honestly probably just see it as the most beautifull place they have ever stayed. Everything offered at the on site restraunt, front desk and spa seemed very high priced. Honestly if i was in a different profession i would have rated it higher.

Curtains in the villa dont cover the windows meaning you're waking up IAW the sunrise. I means several 12 inch gaps.

This review is all about the people who served us. The staff was friendly and attentive. They acted like they genuinely cared despite it being clear to any casual observer that they were run off their feet as management left them understaffed. The views and facility are situated in one of the most beautiful locations. It's magical.

The Sagecliffe is a beautiful property with unparalleled views, however it misses the mark in service and attention to detail. I was underwhelmed considering the price point and believe management has several opportunities to enhance the guest experience. Here are a few things I noted during my stay: Safety -No communication with guests during the wildfire. The front desk staff was friendly at check-in, but not the experience you'd expect at a luxury property. Later in the evening, we picked up a bottle of wine, and the desk agent was rude. Tendrils restaurant was severely understaffed and we waited 30 minutes to check in with the hostess. Meanwhile, the front desk team was chatting and playing on their cell phones. It would have been nice to see some teamwork and consideration for guests. The check-in agent could have mentioned the situation with the "VIP" concert entrance during arrival. As a first-time guest, I was surprised this isn't included since you stay at Sagecliffe for its proximity to the Gorge. The room was charming but several scuffs on the walls which diminished aesthetic. I also had to avoid stepping in a HUGE pile of bird excrement at the door (which had been overlooked by housekeeping - you could tell it had been there a while). On the patio, landscaping fabric was uplifted, creating a tripping hazard. The lounge chairs were too low and the railing blocked the view. These are small details, but you wouldn't see them at a Four Seasons or JW Marriott.

It’s was good for a couple of days while travelling through. You couldn’t stay anymore because there’s only one restaurant. The pool bar wasn’t really open and if you wanted food you had to walk up and get it yourself. The area around the hotel is pretty and was good for what we needed.

Absolutely fantastic location, beautiful vineyard environment. Unique accommodations and style (liked). Liked firepits, outdoor games, and pool. Average food for the price, overall property needs refreshing, missing some attention to detail. Thank-you

Good stay but poor food

Overall it was an excellent experience! The view of the Columbia River gorge is spectacular and our room is very clean. However, this resort has very limited food options. I did a take-out order for dinner and I was told that they were short of staff so for takeout I could only order bar food (like Pizza, appetizers, etc) instead of from the full menu. The food is salty and pricey. For their price point, I do expect to have better food options.

Stunning views, immaculate rooms, walkable through vineyards or general area, easy access to concert area Gorge, delicious food, pool and area high class resort style yet everything was reasonably priced - a must see place to stay at, the Caverns rooms were outstanding,

For the price, I was disappointed. Lacking in room amenities. No drawers for clothes in the room, no decent coffee maker in the room with the lodge a hike up the hill. Shower was dirty and needed repair. No robes or slippers and no plugs for iPhones or accessories. We get more from Best Western.
