Unfortunately this did not live up to my expectations. I have visited Key West multiple times staying at boutique hotels off of duval, but this inn has been the worst so far.
Pros are the location near duval and the pool.
Cons are there are no front desk staff, no lobby, etc. this is a more like an Airbnb experience where you are sent instructions on getting in your room and that’s it (which is fine but it was not clear this was the case from my booking). This became a clear issue when our smoke alarm was malfunctioning creating a loud alarm and warning sound every thirty seconds that you could hear throughout the property at 10pm. This itself isn’t the issue, but the issue is since there isn’t a front desk staff I had to text the on call number. They claim 24/7 access to a representative, but I called about 20 times over the course of 45 minutes, left two voicemails and multiple texts, and did not receive a response. Finally about an hour later I receive a call and they moved us to another room. An hour isn’t that long to address an issue, but since I wasn’t sure if anyone was ever going to respond to us since no one was picking up the phone, I didn’t know if i was going to have to find a last minute open hotel late at night. If someone quickly responded with an update saying we would be moved to a new room within the hour, that’s no problem. But the no response for that long was ridiculous.
Other cons include ants in both rooms we stayed as well as a potent smell
