Since my last stay in Japan 10 years ago, I've seen many of this APA chain pop up on Hotels.com and wondered what they'd be like. Well, now I'm a fan. Yes the rooms are compact but that's typical for Tokyo. Professional, courteous, efficient staff. Very comfy linens. Drinkable tap water a plus. This area is amazing and this particular hotel is right in the thick of it. Only downside is the air conditioning is central, you can't control it. I had a room where the window wouldn't open so I switched to one that did, the circulation was nice but it got noisy overnight. It may be advisable to buy a fan to overcome this, and fortunately there are plenty of places in this area to find them at good prices. Closest train stop is Suehirocho, half a block away, and this was very convenient.
