The room was really spacious and clean, although part of the tiling fell off almost immediately. The evening meal was delicious! We were really impressed. Sadly, breakfast was basically inedible. Instant coffee (same as in the rooms), no buffet as advertised, the breakfast we ordered didn’t include all the items and was so bad we barely touched it. Even the toast wasn’t done well! For the price, it was good for a night. But it’s very dated so don’t plan for any longer here.

The room was spotless, staff were good and willing to refund me because I had spent only one night instead of two because my flights got delayed, but expedia is yet to refund me

Check in time was supposed to be 12pm, I arrived at 12:38pm and was told I couldn’t check in till 2pm because the rooms were not ready yet. I went down to order some food for lunch and it literally took an hour before I got served. I had to chase the waiter down to ask for my bill and then look for him again for my change. The deal breaker was when the tried to check me into a lesser value room because someone was still occupying the room and booked and paid for. At the end, I had to contact EXPEDIA for a discount
These were wires dangling from the shower wall in the bathroom. It’s supposed be the for the water heater. Very dangerous. They had to give me a different room

i have travelled widely and this hotel is the worst i have ever stayed at or heard of. rat droppings behind the bed in one room i was allocated, the first room i was allocated had some creature in it which jumped from the wall to the floor as soon as the staff member turned on the light, i have no idea what is was but i heard it land on the floor. everything was dirty and poorly maintained. i didnt dare use the shower due to the awful state and it had naked wired coming out of the wall at one end. didnt dare eat the breakfast and i cut short my stay, slept with the light on to stop any other creatures emerging. horrific experience

The location is absolutely excellent on top of the hill. We loved that, the staff were so helpful, accommodating, friendly and couldn't do enough for us. They made our stay the best they could. However, the premises itself is shabby, needs updating and a good tidy up. With some investment, it could be so much nicer, comfortable and modern. The biggest frustration is how limited the menu, food and drinks options are. Too many times meals on the menu were not available and similarly with the drinks. Our biggest complaint is with the breakfast. It was poor, the food was cold and it was certainly not a buffet. It was billed as a buffet breakfast of local and continental options. During the week only omelette, salad and bread was available. On the weekend there was also rice, cow skin and sometimes chicken. However, the food was cold, it was not self service and we were only allowed one serving. I would strongly recommend that the management look into these issues and make improvements. It has great potential, but currently it is letting itself down. I doubt I'd stay there again.
