Great hotel, especially for families

Wonderful hotel, especially with children! Pool was so relaxing and in great condition. The game room had a huge bouncy house and lots of activities to keep the kids entertained. In walking distance to Tivoli, central train station and a mall with lots of food options.

Fantastic hotel, the pool was a bit busy with kids playing but nothing outrageous, the sauna was nice. Lovely sticks and sushi restaurant on the top floor. Room was great, only small complaint was that there was a sign about re-using the towels which I wanted to do to be a bit more environmentally friendly, but they took the towels away anyway. No big deal though

Magic!:)

I came late and very tired from a train trip. At the reception the girl gave me a room oppgrade:) I came to this room, very pretty, big, comfortable and with a huge and comfy bed. I got there just in time to see an amazing sunsert. I ordered food from the sushi restaurant and it was delicious. The matcha cake was one of the best desserts I had:)

Summer Camp

The hotel is ok, but it`s crowded. Their restaurant is too small, so they use conference rooms as breakfast restaurant, and this is their permanent solution, not just for the summer. Not very nice to eat in a conference room, but it works. Cleaning only on request. Their pool is nice, but not with 100 people in it. Staff looked stressed and not very friendly. I felt like I was on a summer camp, not a nice hotel.

Hotel needs to careful about cleanliness.

Our stay this time was far from amazing. We stayed for 4 nights and inspite of reminders our room was not serviced and cleaned even once. They just replaced our towels once late evening as we had put them on the floor expecting room cleaning. Even next day no services. Our room was at the end of the corridor far from the elevator though we had booked reasonably in advance. Felt pretty let down.

Champagne image on a lemonade offering

I chose to stay at the 4.5* Tivoli hotel, as opposed to some of the cheaper value neighbours because of the VIP status and strength of quality that it showed in the property details and reviews. Unfortunately this hotel is a long way of 4.5* and is not worth the additional cost. Located 15 minutes walk from Copenhagen Central Station, it is well located for the City and the shopping mall nearby. However the hotel itself feels to be holding onto a former glory it is no longer living in. The room I was in had a nice view, however it was very loud from a nearby fan or very noisy unit. The bed linen had a rip in, the towel was dirty, the mattress is very worn and squashed out (see photos) and I had to call maintenance as my sink was blocked, something housekeeping would have noticed when preparing the room but chose not to get resolved. Housekeeping has to be requested, which is strange for this calibre of hotel. There is no turndown service and no robes for the pool. The 20% discount for food and drink voucher was not offered upon check in and I had to go to ask for it- at which point I decided not to spend any more money in this establishment. It’s a champagne image on a lemonade budget. There are plenty more hotels available which I would suggest are much better value.
