SCAM BEWARE, DOUBLE CHARGED WITH NO REFUND
Stay was average. Decent room, good amenities. That’s about where the positive experience ends.
The booking on hotels.com said it was not going to charge my card until check in, but it did in fact charge my card immediately upon booking. Fine, but just was contrary to what the booking instructions said would happen.
Then, one day before check in, I was told I needed to supply the property a credit card for a security deposit, which is understandable and I did. The next day, they charged my card (not a hold, a full charge) for the room rates. So not only did I already pay hotels.com an overinflated price, I then paid them a second time directly because they wouldn’t let me check in without supplying a card. VERY DISHONEST AND MISLEADING!!!
Trying to work through this with the property management group now and they are digging in their heels. Terrible customer service and terrible experience. Would not recommend this to my worst enemy. On top of that, the beds were insanely uncomfortable and the whole experience has been ruined by this. Disappointed is an understatement.
I hope they will rectify this, because I understand mistakes happen and will remove the review if they make things right. But I’m not confident they will so we will see.
