This interesting property is in a good location, with parking available, and convenient for local sights, shops and restaurants. We had a friendly welcome, lovely room, and nice dinner in the restaurant. Would highly recommend.
Older hotel with great history and outstanding restaurant. The owner visited with us a number of times in lobby area. Rooms are fine, older individual furnished, but need attention. Easy walk to River one way and Cathederal the other. Hotel has history of ghosts!
We had a great stay at 17hundred90 Inn. The food in the tavern was excellent. Rebecca and Patrick at the bar were fantastic. We will definitely come back and stay again.
Our stay was delightful. The room was charming and comfortable and the staff was hospitable, friendly, and helpful, they went above and beyond to make our stay great. I accidentally left behind my t-shirt wrapped up in the bedding and they called me shortly after leaving to let me know. We stayed in Room 203 and definitely had some ghostly experiences. The first night, we heard things getting knocked around in the bathroom, and the second night I felt someone sit on the edge of the bed on top of my legs. I was groggy, so initially I thought it was my cat curling up on my legs like he does every night--then I remembered I was not at home so it could not have been my cat! I felt something brush against my face and opened my eyes to find the covers had been thrown way up over my head. Upon leaving, we called out a goodbye to the ghosts and the lights flickered. Perhaps it was just electrical stuff, but who knows. We make a point of finding haunted hotels whenever we travel and this one did not disappoint. We even got an odd picture in the hallway which I will post here. Just to note, my phone has never done anything like this in a photo and maybe there is an explanation with lighting, etc. but we thought it was pretty interesting!
We absolutely loved it there and Chris and all the staff were phenomenal. Our dinner at the 1790 our last night was spectacular and we really enjoyed the time in the bar as well. This is truly a unique and wonderful place.
This was our second time staying at this Inn, and we loved it just as much as the first time. It is in a great location, we walked everywhere we went, and the vibe is perfect for us. We will definitely come back.
My girlfriend and I arrived to a very friendly establishment. The place was very clean, and organized. The bed was very comfortable to sleep on the pub that is associated to the establishment was very exciting and drinks were very delicious. It is nestled in the historic area of Savannah and in walking distance to surrounding sightseeing courtyards. This will be a hotel that Iām sure they will be revisiting.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The manager, Chris, was very personable, the onsite 17Hundred90 restaurant was amazing, and the room was very comfortable. The location was excellent, as it only took us 10 minutes to walk to the riverfront. We stayed in room 104 which was right above the registration desk and restaurant so it was somewhat noisy until the restaurant closed at 10 pm. We also appreciated having a parking space on the innās property. The room was very clean and spacious, with a large comfortable bed and two upholstered chairs. Hot water was readily available and the mini fridge was nice to have, especially with the freezer compartment for our cooler ice packs.
If you like a blast to the past, comfort, and great food, this place was very nice. The staff is all super wonderful, especially Grumpyā¦he was a great gentleman. Definitely would recommend this place if you like history and old stuff. Really had a great time there.
Me and my girlfriend had a wonderful stay at the Seventeen Ninety! Room 305 is very charming and well put together. It even has original furniture from when the room was built in 1858! I decided to pay for the onsite parking which was super handy. Weāll definitely be back in the future.
I got in at 2am and they property manager was amazing with his communication of how to find my keys and get into the room. The room itself was so cute! Old but clean, furnished in the period style with a large king size bed on a platform!
The location was walkable to everything I wanted to do - pretty perfect really.
Sadly, no ghosts were seen or heard. But maybe next time!
Our 5th stay at the 17 Hundred 90, and it didn't disappoint. Everything from the friendly service, to the comfort of the bed, and the location is excellent. We were just sorry to miss seeing Grumpy this time; but Barbara and Martha are top-notch! It's our top choice when in Savannah!
We had a wonderful time staying at 17Hundred90 and will definitely be back for future visits to Savannah. Every member of staff (especially Grumpy) was welcoming, knowledgeable, and made our visit special. We wanted small and historic with a potential side of spooky, and the inn delivered. What a bonus the tavern was tooāwhile we didn't get a chance to dine in the restaurant, we'll make a point to do so next time.
Always like staying at a historic property and this one is exceptional. Especially liked the private courtyard, parking and same floor separate sitting room [217 E York St building]. Chris in the office was very helpful while checking in by personally walking me over to the building and pointing out some features. Only drawback: the room and sitting area chould use some light bulbs!
