I have already contacted the Hotel directly and copied in Hotels.com to advise that the room conditions were in such a disgusting state that we could not use the room and left that evening to drive home. There was blood on sheets and wall, toe nail clippings on a dusty floor, mouldy shower curtain and generally disgusting. In addition to this there were works being completed in the adjacent room with electric power tools being used at 11:30pm Contact with photos was sent to the Hotel company direct for feedback and resolution with a request for a refund, had this been actioned we could have sorted this outside of the review. unfortunately my requests to the Hotel and Hotels.com have both been ignored.

The property is looking very tired. The room was clean, no frills. Bathroom clean but shower has no power and the shower head really is only suitable for washing hair. The 'continental breakfast ' is just cereal and toast. Tea or coffee. We didn't see a single member of staff for the duration of our stay. Self check in, self check out. Not even a staff member in the breakfast room at all

Self check in, room ok but basic and tired, tea making facilities in dangerous postion quite high up, at eye level. Doors to rooms and pool need self closers on as the hum from the pool kept ys awake, and need black out curtains as very light in room from 430am. Breakfast was very poor cereal toat or yogurt, never saw staff the whole time we was there

It was a nice location and for the money the room was very nice except and it is a big but - the room was very hot. It was the hottest day of the year but the radiator was on hot and wouldnt turn off, but because there is no reception desk there was no one to tell them. Also the self service "continental breakfast" was a bit of a stretch of the definition (Apples or oranges, bread, strawberry jam or marmalade and milk, yoghurt, water in the fridge - no croiscants or other pastries, no cold meat/chease.

I was surprised that there wasn’t any Wi-Fi or air conditioning. When I opened the window to try to get some air flow in the room I was struck by how noisy the fountain in the courtyard was. I then tried the electric fan but this even louder than the fountain. I was there for three days (two nights) and didn’t see a single member of staff. It’s up to the guest to pretty much look after themselves. The area around the hotel is lovely however.

Great hotel !

Very easy to check in and leave. Nice to have a simple complimentary breakfast. It was much appreciated. Thank you for having the rooms ready early for the family to get ready for the wedding. That was very nice of you 👍 we have family in the area and we hope to stay with you again.

The bed was comfortable, sleeping area clean, surroundings quiet, room a reasonable size but everything else was exceptionally basic, DIY cobbled together and tired. Floors not level, no underlay on carpet, wires dangling from TV, walls so thin full audio of the TV next door was disturbing, shower curtain falling off, shower itself was a bit of a joke and breakfast more basic than advertised.

I emailed 2 days before my stay to confirm that I had booked a double room for my birthday weekend. The owner confirmed by email that he would ENSURE I had a double room. On arrival we had been allocated a twin room. As there is no reception at the venue I left a voicemail message and an email before the owner's sister told us they were fully booked and could not do anything about this. This kind of mistake is inexcusable and twin beds for a romantic weekend is not what I had in mind! I would have thought the owner himself would have made contact himself to apologise. The venue's "hands off" approach to guests is extremely unsatisfactory. The shower was either freezing or scalding hot and it took Expedia three days to reach the owner to confirm the facts and obtain a refund. I will not be returning.

Price & location good, room position not so

Handy location for my business trip, positioned right next to a swimming pool with adult music classes on tho into early evening so couldn’t hear the tv for shouting… not ideal, cold tiled floor too, I guess they followed thru with the flooring.. wasn’t very cosy and probably wouldn’t stay again, sorry.

Disappointed

Nice setting, clean, comfy bed. A lot of flies, coming out of hibernation once heating was on? Spiders x 5. Disappointed with breakfast, freeze dried coffee, no filter, no jam for toast, apples in a bowl. Cereal , 3 choices in a plastic server. Expensive for experience.

Not great

It was self check in. The path to the room was very dark, needs lighting, dangerous if you have mobility issues, can't see!!! There was an issue in the room, but could not get any answer at reception and phone number kept going to voicemail. So not very good at all. There was only a small electric heater, not sufficient to warm the room. Room was OK, bed OK, but overall not happy.
