We were able to find the hotel easily and there was ample parking. Despite being near a busy road, the room was very quiet (woken up by the birds!). The hotel staff were very friendly and informative when we needed to check out early. The room was tidy and there was plenty of hot water. The bed was comfy. The bar next door has lots of offers on food and drink and the staff are friendly. We ate there both nights and the food was good. Our only complaint was the lack of real ales, but we compensated with what was available. Also great bus links to Preston.

Woken at 3:45am by 2 extremely drunk men & a lady sharing the room next door who proceeded to shout and bang until 6:30am. Went to reception and spoke with night manager who was unwilling to intervene in case the situation escalated. Other guests also complained, including a family with young children who were constantly being woke up by the noise & crying. Terrible night, which affected our plans for the next day as we were extremely exhausted. Adjoining pub had no heating for evening meal or breakfast,

Can I start by thanking Kate on reception who was very helpful when we requested an early check in at 12pm because we were going to a funeral at 2pm. We had travelled 3 hours from the north and she found us an empty room to get changed in which was much appreciated. The room was perfect, clean and warm. The bar was clean and tidy, we only called in for one after the funeral, no problems. The classic breakfast was perfect with plenty to eat and drink and the staff were helpful.
