The receptionist at check-in was terrible. I said hi three times and she never responded. She didn’t smile or seem friendly at all. While my friend was filling out the check-in paperwork, I said that I wanted to check in as well, and she replied, “I’m doing one right now,” in a very rude tone. Those were the first words she said to me.
I do have to say that the property manager was very nice. He made the fire for us, was helpful, and treated us kindly throughout our stay.
However, my first impression because of the receptionist was terrible. I honestly don’t remember ever being treated with such disrespect and lack of kindness while receiving service during a vacation.
Also, the reservation was not clear that I would receive a bedroom instead of a dome. My expectation was that I had reserved a dome, since that is what was shown on Hotels.com, but when I arrived on site, I was given a bedroom instead.
Plus, the hot tub that was advertised was not like the pictures at all. It was not placed with a view as expected, and it was just a small inflatable tub that could barely fit one person at a time.
