The food was excellent, and the manager, Beth, was incredibly helpful. She took the time to recommend the must-see places and local experiences to try at our next destination, which we really appreciated. Her warm hospitality made our visit even more enjoyable.

Avoid at all cost when we got there after travelling 8 hours the evening restaurant was closed. Breakfast the next day which was only continental as expected no yogurt fresh fruit salad was off porridge in a pot cheese squares no ham. If I was paying for a cheap hotel I might have understood but I was paying £185. Per night Restaurant was operating next evening but meal was terrible meat left over from carvery and extremely tough frozen Yorkshire pudding and instant gravy with lumps. Price £21. And finally the pudding billed as homemade hot brownie was frozen bid food item cold fudge cake £9. Worsted place I have stayed in for a very long time if ever

Booked with Hotels.com last November and paid in full so was embarrassed to get there and find the hotel had not been paid! Also the description of the room did not match the room we were given - all the fault of hotels.com! The lady checking us in could not have been nicer. We ate in the restaurant - staff lovely, food delicious. Nice continental breakfast in the morning. Would love to stay at this hotel again but would book direct. Will not use hotels.com again!!
