Everything about The George Inn Mere was perfection. It's so mall and quaint, yet feels like the home you never had. The rich history of the hotel, the staff, the beds, and rooms. All perfection. If you are looking for a small local place that is off the beaten path, this is it. You won't regret it.

Was one of the friendliest Inns that we have ever had the pleasure to visit. The staff in the kitchen, the chamber maid Shelly was very meticulously thorough in her work. Would thoroughly recommend this Inn and will return.

Goos size and comfortable room. Service in the bar and restaurant was good with plenty of menu choices for our evening meal.

Reasonable

Staff were attentive and polite, food was ok and we were gratefully they decided to provide an evening meal on a Monday (which they don't usually do) due to the great number of guest staying. Beds were comfortable.

this was a stop off for the start of our holiday, we were meant to be going to Salisbury races, but it was abandoned due to heavy rain, never the less it did not stop us enjoying our stay at this beautiful hotel, we had an amazing stay and it was very clean and all the staff were extremely polite and pleasant.

A historic property in a beautiful town. A river runs along the back and walks along it are easy and safe. The inn has large dining areas and dinner and breakfast were delicious. Room was small, but clean and quiet.

Fabulous stay at the George inn. Couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. Love the quirkiness of the pub / hotel. It's a beautiful old building and has rich history. The breakfast is fantastic, our family room was huge, clean and very comfortable. Excellent car park and superbly based to see the gorgeous surroundings. Highly recommend anyone staying here.
